We will be moving into free agency VERY SOON. It is imperative that teams check in with the board daily for the latest ...
inactive teams have received their final warnings. if all of the franchises are going to be competitive, we need your attention, at least once a day, for the next couple weeks ...
thanks for your patience.
now lets get the ball rolling here.

Just as a friendly yet stern reminder. Teams with incomplete or non-updated rosters may or may not be allowed to participate in the draft.
So get those rosters completed and up to snuff!

Just another reminder, check Amendment 8 in the constitution! Are you eligible to drop a contract? Do you have a player that's been out of baseball for at least one season? If so you may be eligible for the salary relief stimulus package!
Or in other words, you can drop some of that dead weight.

Ok so do we have a final draft order, and a final list of who is eligible to be drafted?

Draft order as posted is the order we will be using, Detroit, you have the first pick.
I'm planning on staying up tonight and finishing up the rosters. When completed you can start picking whenever you want, but you won't be on the clock until 8am.

I agree with Philly, we would not be anywhere close to where we are right now if it was not for the Indians, so thank you Indians.

LET THE DRAFT BEGIN!
Here is the draft order:
Tigers Indians Rockies (-2) Padres (-2) Giants Rangers Brewers (-3) Cardinals Phillies Blue Jays Twins White Sox Diamondbacks Mets (-11) Marlins Cubs Angels Yankees Astros Red Sox
Tigers, you may start us off whenever your ready. There is no order as to positions being drafted. If you draft a player that has already been selected you will lose your draft pick for that round, so please pay attention! Also remember your salary cap limits! If you go over your cap space you will be fined, no longer permitted to draft and lose the player that you went over with. At any time a GM may 'pass', however, that GM will no longer be able to participate in the draft. The draft ends when there are no more players left, every one has passed, or every one has passed / reached their cap limit.
Good luck and enjoy the draft.

was there ever a decision made as to whether division/league winners get a bonus the following season or did that not get the vote. this is for the 2012 season so teams no how to build this year. sacrifice to go for it vs prospects. I know there had been a vote, but cant seem to find it

The old league voting (as well as other threads) can be found in the archives, they were moved to try to prevent the forums from looking to cluttered.
It seems that Detroit had an idea that resonated with many GM's, and we'll take a look into it and let you guys know shortly.
There won't be any penalties for finishing in the bottom though.
