Fair enough, go ahead and copy the Cardinals roster, and post it as your own so that you can modify it when you draft and sign players. As you can see we're in the middle of a contraction draft right now, you have the 8th pick between the Brewers and the Phillies.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

I met him through a Dynasty league last season; I've always wanted to get involved in a salary league.

Are you in the Jays' other league ... 12 team yahoo league?
The open team in this league is the Rockies. Take a look at the roster and see if you are interested.
The Cubs have done some work to shore up the roster a bit in the arbitration draft, which is wrapping up over the next day or two, most likely.

OK, I am going to act in Indians' absence ... you got the Rockies.
We have all 20 teams filled now.
Please take time to check out your roster, and read as much as you can re. the rules and so forth.
Not too hard, but can be a little confusing. Just ask, as there are some very good guys in the league who will give you good info.
Free agency will be starting fairly soon. Stay tuned to this board, and feel free to ask questions!
Welcome!

Most of the leagues I've participated in have been weekly line-up changes. 8. What type of team are you looking to take over? A team that will compete now? A team that had the potential to compete? A "project" team? Whatever is available. I realize I'm arriving late to the ball. 9. Why would we even want to have your sorry ... oh ... why would we want to have you in our league? Like I said, I'm a baseball phanatic, need I say more. 10. Are you a business partner, same-sex-partner, partner in crime, identical twin, biological clone, or splitting image of any General Manager currently in this league? Nope, but I am the little sister of one of the GMs. 11. Did any past or present member of the league recommend you for consideration? Yes, my brother, the Phils GM. Sounds good, just one thing:
The only team that we have available is the Astros, the last GM seemed to be a little, uh, 'miffed' that the team came as is. I just want to make sure that you'll be ok with that.
We do daily lineup changes in this league (post a lineup change and it happens that day, pick up a player and it happens the next day). Please read over the constitution carefully.
We look forward to having you as a part of our league!

Terrific! Hey, of course the team comes AS IS, that makes sense to me. Sure, I'm ok with that! I look forward to being part of the league. Thanks, Nancy

I'm sure it's just that the two of you share the same computer and you were left logged in, but could you fill this out from a different account? Not only does it raise unnecessary suspicion, but it also prevents us from awarding a team.

Sorry we had not first logged out of my Astros GM sign in before Scott completed the questionnaire. He has since created a login and signed in to the league site as Scott - from a different computer. There is no cause for any 'unnecessary suspicion' from the league. Thanks, Nancy / Astros GM

I'd like to see the Jays and Cubs weigh in on this as it gives the Phillies two family members within the league. Know that you, your wife, nor your brother-in-law will be allowed to serve on the trade council and the Phillies will not have any say in any form of reprimand used against you or the Astros due to violations of the league constitution. It's not that I don't trust you guys, it's that I want there to be no question that we're running an honest game here. Otherwise I approve. 1. I'm not too worried about you guys myself, it's more that I want everyone to be on the same page and not have wild accusations being thrown around (we had a GM last year accuse the ChiSox and Jays of being the same person). The less questionable everything is, the less people can accuse. Sorry we had not first logged out of my Astros GM sign in before Scott completed the questionnaire.
