Mariano Rivera
Dellin Betances
Zach McAllister
Kelvin De Leon
Manuel Banuelos
Lance Lynn
Chris Marrero
NYY Justification:
My reasoning for accepting is once again to lower my cap now i only have 2.2 million to go and so i can have another Great SP and if he goes to free agency i will have a 10 % discount if im not mistaking i did lose some pretty good prospects especially Chris but i want some money during the offseaon and if anybody is interested in AJ Burnett send me an offer....
ARI Justification:
Trading Webb hurts, especially since his contract can be extended for 2010 and then at a 20% discount. However, he's racked up innings so we were somewhat concerned about his shoulder injury being a problem moving forward. Since there was still high trade demand for him from a number of teams, parting ways seemed to be the best move.
Getting Mariano Rivera in return is great, he's the best closer there is, there was and there ever will be. His high salary is a knock on his value, but the Dbacks have plenty of room and will have even more in the offseason. With Mo and Qualls, we should be in the top tier for SV's. Also, the stockpiling of prospects will help to rebuild the now rather barren ARI system (other than Parker, the elite prospects have graduated to the big club). None of these guys are top 50, but they all have high ceilings and hopefully 2-3 pan out.

Mets Send:
3B David Wright 7.5 2012
ARI Justification
We're giving up 3 solid players, all with good contracts. However, David Wright is a perennial fantasy all-star and locked up at a bargain price until 2012, and will be a cornerstone of the offense.
NYM Justification
I am in a rebuilding process, those are two top prospects and montero has been scortching as of late, definitely the dbacks catcher of the future.

CIN Justification...
I looked and looked and looked at this deal. Drew should carry my SS for many years. Probably the best SS since Larkin and Conception to man the position.
ARI Justification...
It is difficult to give up Drew as he was supposed to be the face of the Diamondbacks when he came up, the next ARod. He hasn't lived up to his potential, although he still may. With that said, he only has 2 years left on his arbitration contract and is only reasonably priced at $4M for his consistently average production. Good luck to him going forward.
Yonder Alonso is out with a broken bone, but should still be competing for playing time in 2010 and has the plate discipline and power to be a force for a long time. He is a top prospect and should prove to be the most valuable player in the deal. Mike Leake doesn't get the respect for his stellar college numbers because he's barely 6' tall, but he's a solid pitcher. Francisco has some power and could be a solid contributor. Overall, this trade frees up some cap space and adds some great players to the farm.

Indians trade:

DBacks trade:
SP - Christian Friedrich - $0.3 - 1st (COL)
and
OF - Trent Oeltjen - $0.3 - 1st (ARI)
Great trade for both teams. I have very high expectations on Friedrich and hopefully Ross gets even better. I can give up two prospects to compete more in the coming years.
Indians cap before to after: $63.6 to $62.6
DBacks cap before to after: $55.9 to $56.9

I make this trade to add some depth to my INF. I dont have anyone behind Uggla at the moment and if he were to get injured during the year I would be without a 2B. I have a lot of pitching depth after the Oswalt trade. I am able to spare Sanchez.
