We're here and working on things, most of it has been behind the scenes type stuff getting ready for the draft and free agency.

GM's will be required to have joined the Yahoo League NLT Saturday morning at 0001 Eastern (9 PM Firday, Pacific) or be faced with a $1 fine. I really don't know why it's taken so long to get this done since I've sent out mass emails, posted the URL with the league ID number and the password multiple times and still we have GM's not on there, GM's who have been logging in to the boards recently, so I really don't see a reason as to why you wouldn't be there.
League ID 14515 PW: URBBaseball
Join it by the end of Friday or be fined! No excuses!

Yankees, Rangers, you have until the end of Friday to register for the Yahoo league. I have no idea why you've ignored my public notices, PM's and emails. Rangers may have an excuse in that he's been on leave and may still be (wasn't some one going to confirm this?). What really concerns me is that the Yankees have been logging in but not reading my PM's and disregarding the emails I've sent him as well as these public announcements.
Yankees, if you're having issues with the boards you need to speak up now. Otherwise if you're not in the league by midnight you'll be penalized, and should you not be in the league by the end of next week we'll take it a step further. There's no reason for the silence and disregard being shown.
(EDITED: mixed up my days)

i am leaving the league. since this league started, "leadership" if you will call it that has made some terrible unilateral decisions without taking any real input. I want no part in this league. This will fall apart just like last time because of the same issues, only amplified

Fair enough, just remember that we did take numerous inputs from the league last year and this year. We gave you reasonable tasks and time to complete it and only asked that if you were falling behind for any reason that you give us notice. We are standing firm in the decisions being made here not because we want to destroy the league but because we don't want it to fall apart like last year.
You're more than entitled to your own opinions and I'm glad that you finally chose giving notice rather than the silent treatment that you had been using before.

thats the stupidest thing ive heard in a while. i dont see any possible reasoning for the league to look like its going to fall apart. theres really good order here and the fact that its on yahoo now i feel its easier to work with(for me atleast). i think the leagues looking real good and that the leadership looks to be working well especially cause its like 4 with equal say rather than just one with all the power. anyways i was wondering if since we are trying to keep to the real thing what about the idea of dropping players and getting hit with a buy out fee? i was playing baseball mogul the other day and i had to drop a guy and that popped up. thought it could work for this league. just a thought

A scaling penalty that starts high and decreases over the life of the contract has been thrown out there, and we'll work on it for next year as it's a little late (free agency and the draft had already begun) to be accomplished this year.

I wont delete it and the reason for it is that I don't want to censor this league. Unless what you say is directly attacking a person or group of people (his attacks the league) in a manner that seriously affects or could be reasonably assumed to affect the GM(s) involved. I encouraged him that if he were to leave to give public notice instead of "acting like a five year old and taking the ball and going home". Now that the franchise is free we can start looking for a replacement. The Phillies has his brother in law (the new Astros GM's husband) interested. Seeing as we have character witnesses available saying that he's a good guy I'm on board with this. Where I would draw the line is the Phillies having any say in punitive action against the Astros or his brother in law, and that none of those three could sit on the trade council as too many potential trades could bring bias in rulings. Of course, the trade council would have to look at any trades between those three teams with extra scrutiny. Is it ideal? not really, but does it prevent another guy like the former Yankees or Astros GM's from coming in? I sure hope so. Another reason why friends and family are welcome here is that it helps improve activity levels, we have extra ways of communicating with the members of the league (see Tigers and Rangers, ChiSox and Jays) in case there is a period of silence. With the Yankees acting like he was, we had no idea what was going on with him and could only continue to threaten and punish him. If anyone knows somebody who would like to join us though, by all means have them come by and fill out a form. The team is by no means spoken for. Wow, delete that guys post. We don't need to hear that.
