A place to discuss the draft that doesn't necessarily fall under the FAQ category.

If anyone knows what happened to the Rockies please let us know here. Anything you might know will help us greatly.

Well I was recently accidentally banned and still stayed in contact with the league. We can't wait forever. Very strange, though.

Yeah, your banning was a mistake, and that was the first thing I checked. He wasn't banned, his email just flat out doesn't work (it must have been deleted) and we now have no way of contacting him. His account and all of his information was deleted. I've gone ahead and posted the vacancies we have on Fantasy Baseball Cafe, hopefully we'll be able to fill one of the three open teams now. If anyone has any friends, feel free to invite them. Well I was recently accidentally banned and still stayed in contact with the league. We can't wait forever. Very strange, though.

We can't contact him, but he should be able to contact us. I was when I had no access to the league. I don't know what could have happened with them though.

The Cardinals salary cap remaining should be 54.4 not 55.4, unless the salary used is wrong...

why are we drafting for the cardinals if he is no longer part of the league?

To keep it fair I suppose. Unless you'd rather pause the draft again until we fill the spot.

Yeah, if we don't draft for him, his team will wind up like the neglected teams from the other league. Just look at the Pirates roster, the A's, and the Mariners and you'll see what I'm talking about.
When he left us I decided to take over his draft and fix his roster in hopes that we could find another GM to take it over. Same with the Rockies with the Cubs drafting for them. We are strongly committed to a 20 team league, as we tend to feel that less than 20 teams makes the talent pool too deep.

11 minutes for the Jays to pick...

If we miss our pick is it really such a huge deal if we pick afterwards?? Is it really going to throw the league into a huge mess?? Not everyone is able to get online during the night. If you pick at midnight I'm not always able to make a pick by noon. I know the rules state a pick must be made but seriously is it such a big deal?? Just saying....

I think it is a big deal.
1. when would they then draft (it would take effort to sort that out) 2. I'm happy because a player I wanted could potentially be available one pick earlier 3. everyone has a chance to submit a list of picks prior to their turn in the order.
In conclusion, Jays had from 8:42 pm until 8:42 am to pick, they did not submit a list of picks, and management has done more than enough to keep this league running smoothly so they should not have any extra work created for them. I also don't want to see the Jays picking at any random time (potentially picking the same player at the exact same time as the GM that is "on the clock") causing even more confusion and extra work.

Extra work?? What extra work?? Putting a line through a player is not extra work.

No, notifying the player that is on the clock to wait, contacting the Jays to find out when they are to be slotted in, and general bs associated with screwing with a well oiled machine

Jays are your brother, right? Why'd he miss the pick?
